Hacking humanity and revolutionising medicine

Are we exceeding our capacity to manage change?

From the fires of hell in Australia signalling climate disaster, to the technology arms race that will see us all bombarded by untested millimetre waves, to the continuing deterioration of human, animal and environmental health. One can't help but wonder if we've already ignited the beginning of the end. Israeli anthropologist, Prof Yuval Harari, certainly thinks so.

For more on Harari's view about the risk of an apocalyptic ending for humanity in less than a century, read our first article as founder, Rob Verkerk, talks, power, control and the technological arms race. It doesn't make for very pretty reading, but it's something we all need to know about so that we can prepare, form our positions, and take action accordingly.

Our second story brings much needed good news - an antidote to the predictions of technological doom! It's all about doctors in the UK driving a quiet revolution and opting to educate themselves in lifestyle medicine. Rob and I had the great pleasure of being invited guests at last Saturday's Personalised Lifestyle Medicine course for doctors and clinicians. And what a remarkably masterful course it is.

We leave you with our news tidbits where Bayer is trying to palm everyone off with pre-court settlements, Prof Huw Jones' vision for vats of GM 'plant food factories', industry moves to influence US dietary guidelines and pharma's infiltration of patient groups, amongst other news.

In self-hacked good health, naturally
