Week No 12 | 21/03/2024

Sainsbury's, synbio and mould

Exciting news - we've made a few tweaks to our ANH-Intl website homepage that are designed to make it easier for you to see the many things we do as leaders, proponents and defenders of natural health. Please do head over to our homepage and let us know what you think. Hopefully you'll now find the website clearer and easier to navigate.

This week, we take on Sainsbury's over its apparent stance on synthetic biology or 'synbio' foods, something it seems pretty keen on in its Future of Food Report. Please read Rob Verkerk's open letter to Simon Roberts, the CEO of the supermarket chain Sainsbury's, probably the oldest in the UK. If you live in the UK and agree with what we've said, please do write a letter or send an email to have your many voices heard. The agri-biotech lobby might set the agenda for the corporates, but it's customers voting with their wallets which carries the power to shift corporate policy. The more of us who speak up and find another place to shop, the quicker Sainsbury's will get the message.

I bring you the latest on mould and biotoxin illness fresh from the Colab Services conference entitled, Does Mould Really Matter? The answer is yes, but please do read my article to find out why and how much it matters — particularly now.

You may have seen a load of negative headlines recently decrying vitamin B3's longheld position as being good for the heart. We've republished an excellent article on the paper behind those headlines by Dr Ron Hoffman, one of America’s foremost complementary medicine practitioners, also President of ANH-USA. Suffice to say, we're all still taking our B3...

In our news this week you'll find intermittent fasting in the crosshairs and obesity and related drugs celebrating more paydays; 5G rolling out softly softly in the UK; Ireland banning a CBD brand and a small, but still important section on Covid News.

Have a beautiful week and remember to breathe and spend time in Nature.

In health, naturally

Open letter to Simon Roberts, CEO of Sainsbury's

21/03/2024

Is the large UK family supermarket chain, Sainsbury's, quietly getting in behind synbio foods and turning its back on organic and regenerative farming? Judging by its Future of Food report that may well be the case - hence our open letter to the Sainsbury's CEO. Will you let Simon Roberts know your views too?
