Don’t delay, optimise

Two days with Dave Asprey, widely regarded as the father of the biohacker movement (now remodelled as the health optimisation movement), an electrifying presentation by John Gray of Mars and Venus fame, blue light blocking glasses, PEMF (Pulsed Electro-Magnetic Fields) therapy, testing of wearables in a multitude of forms, and regular exposure to different, state-of-the-art visions of societies that self-care effectively….these are just some of my memories of last weekend’s inaugural Health Optimisation Summit in London. Two intensive days that could change a person’s life. But imagine if the people least likely to know about such an event were to be able to benefit from all that knowledge…

The reality is that it’s clear an international movement is definitely forming, one that’s intent on managing health by working with nature, not against it. In recognition of the developing movement, Google appears to have recently downgraded searches including the word ‘biohacker’ in it. Regardless, it was a privilege to be invited to speak at the event on Saturday, where I presented detail on the use of markers for the ‘ecological terrain’, that sits at the core of our blueprint project. I provided detail that we’d yet to release publicly that was enthusiastically absorbed by health optimisers. For a more bird’s eye, less granular insight to these ideas, check out our lead story which links to our first webinar on the subject, recorded earlier this week.

In our second piece, again supported with a video, we draw your attention to how you can use gravity to supercharge many forms of physical activity. So many of us are time-challenged, making it really useful to think about selecting types of activity that let you benefit from gravity’s potential to compress the amount of time needed to achieve fitness. Go forth, and get with the G-Force…

In our weekly news roundup, check out the latest controversial report from the US thinktank RethinkX that predicts the collapse of traditional agriculture by 2035 and its replacement with lab-grown meat, fermentation systems and other new tech, more evidence of dietary supplement safety from the US, UK’s poor performance for cancer survival relative to other countries, Apple’s escapades into the field of health data research…and more.

One final note, in our office we’ve moved entirely away from using Google as a search engine, given continuing evidence of filtering and manipulation of search information, much of it limiting our ability to find useful information and news around the subject of natural health. We’re currently using DuckDuckGo as the alternative, and find it refreshing to be using a browser that doesn’t track you, that blocks Google’s hidden trackers, and that doesn’t bias your searches based on your past search history. If you value your privacy, you might want to consider doing the same.

In health, sustainably, naturally and with respectful independence,
