Mainstream misinformation

After the WHO labelled Covid-19 a ‘pandemic’ back in March, it wasn’t long before we heard certain words or phrases that rarely, if ever, entered our normal vocabulary being repeated ad nauseam. Here’s a few examples in case you need a memory jog: unprecedented, lockdown, PPE, stay home, stay safe, flatten the curve, overwhelmed, social distancing, plateau-ing, new normal, remdesivir, hydroxychloroquine, dexamethasone, face coverings. A recent addition that you will undoubtedly hear more often is ‘mask mouth’ given it describes the unfortunate condition more and more people are suffering after extended periods of mask use.

I’d like to add vitamin C, vitamin D to that list, but sadly, they didn’t get much of a mention by the mainstream media, except when the comments were disparaging towards their use. The fact is, many governments, health authorities and most mainstream media channels are delivering a version of events that doesn’t fit well with the unfolding, albeit still uncertain, science. In my coronacast this week I focus on the six areas around which we feel there is the greatest misinformation.

In our second piece, Melissa interviews UK nutritional therapist Kate Chaytor-Norris as they explore Kate’s new, enlightening and inspiring book, I Wish My Doctor Had Told Me This. As you’ll discover, many of the sentiments and approaches used by Kate are informed by the same science and perspectives that has driven ANH over the years. It was also pleasure and surprise to hear Kate offer such kind commentary over our role as the bastion for natural health at the end of the interview.

I urge you to dive into our two weekly updates covering covid-related information and wider news alerts. You’ll learn how Avaaz, Facebook and Wikipedia are working to ramp up censorship of natural health, and about studies that show supplements and higher vegetable intakes increase your immune resilience – plus much more.

We’re told by more and more people that our analysis of what’s been happening over the last 6 months has been an indispensable antidote to what is delivered via the mainstream media. We’d like to remind you that all this is down to the very hard work of our small team – all funded by your donations. So if you’d like to see us keep doing this – and especially to help us expand our team – please consider donating whatever you can afford via our secure PayPal portal. Thank you.

In health and in the name of freedom and our right to manage our health through natural means,
